Camino de Santiago

Join us on a romantic journey through beautiful forests, farmlands, and rustic villages of the Galacian region of Spain, following the same trail thousands of pilgrims have taken on their journey to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the burial place of Saint James the Great.

Continuing Education
We will spend the first two days at a beautiful private property outside of Santiago, learning EMDR skills you can use in your practice and on the walk. You will gain EMDRIA and NBCC approved CEs. We will spend this time getting to know one another and preparing for our walk on the Camino Frances. Meals, private accommodation, and CEs included. On the 27th we will be transported to Sarria, Spain.
Camino De Santiago
Our pilgrimage begins in Sarria. We will spend the next 7 days and 6 nights walking the last 69 miles of the Camino. Your sleeping accommodation has been arranged in private hotels and country cottages. Breakfast and dinner are included each day of your walk. You can walk at your own pace. You have luggage transfer from lodge to lodge, emergency vehicle services, and 24 hour phone assistance on route. You will also receive the traditional "compostela" certificate verifying completion of the Camino.
Buen Camino!
Day1-2: We will meet at Casa da Torre and spend two days learning and preparing for the pilgrimage
Day 3: Travel to Sarria, tour the church of Santa Marie, Castle & Fortress of Sarria, and La Magdalena Monestary
Day 4: Walk to Portomarin (5 hours, 13.67 miles) through villages and hamlets under large shaded oaks along a rural road and past Galacian barns, visit the Romanesque Church in Barbadelo, stay in Portomarin
Day 5: Walk to Palas de Rei (6 hours, 15.5 miles) crossing the River Mino and begin the ascent towards Serra de Ligonde, past villages , Gonzar & Ventas de Naron. See the Romanesque Church of Santa Maria de Costromaior and Church of Eirexe, as well as a sculpture of the Pilgrim of Santiago, stay the night in Palas de Rei.
Day 6: Walk to Arzua (7 hours, 17.71 miles) start the descent along beautiful rural trails to Coto, continue uphill and downhill through beautiful places in Ribadiso Arzua, famous for local cheese
Day 7: Walk to A Rue (4 hours, 11 miles) start uphill, passing through beautiful forests, quiet villages and crossing several streams, visit the Chapel of Santa Iren
Day 8: Walk to Santiago (5 hours, 13 miles) on historic roads to town and to the historic and majestic Cathedral of Santiago, a world heritage site by UNESCO. We will enjoy a final dinner together as a group on this evening.
Journey across Spain with us, on the famous Camino Frances
Limited space on this International Retreat. All pilgrims will need to interview with Dawn or Amy. We want to know your commitment to preparation and fit within the group. This retreat requires physical ability to walk 11-17 miles each day without assistance from the hosts. Attendees will have access to a private Facebook group where they will support one another during training.
